Announcing the
Nancy Kay Holmes Branch Library's

First Annual

Storybook Character

Pumpkin Painting Contest

October 22^nd – 26^th.

This year's theme: "Favorite Book Character"

Paint and decorate a pumpkin to look like your favorite literary character, and bring it to the library before Monday, October 22^nd. Pumpkins will be on display for viewing and voting all week!

Rules:

• Pumpkins must be real, whole, and uncarved/unpierced.
• Pumpkins must not be heavier than 5lbs or wider than 1 foot.
• Participants are encouraged to draw or paint on their pumpkin. Decorative objects, papers, and materials may also be glued to the pumpkin.
• Each entry must have a name or a title.
• One entry/one pumpkin per child (multiple pumpkins per entry/per child are not permitted).

All entries will be judged on Friday, October 26^th in the category of "Most Creative". The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate from our sponsor: Cal-Ideas, Dunmore (perfect for Halloween and costume shopping!)
