Happy 154th Birthday to the Pencil Eraser!

Hello Friends,

Did you know the pencil eraser was patented 154 years ago today? We read imaginative stories about pencils and erasers, and crayons too. Then we rolled up our sleeves and created colorful scenes using only pencil erasers and stamp pads. This was our inspiration:

And these are scenes from our creative art process:

My guy is smiling because he just pulled the special pencil eraser from the jar, and he won four free tickets to see Stuart Little at the Scranton Cultural Center tomorrow! Congratulations!
Thanks for a fun storytime today!

A reminder - there is NO STORYTIME next Monday or Friday. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is next Friday, April 6th. Times vary and registration is required. Please call the library at 207-0764 for more information. We'll see you for our next Morning Storytime on Monday, April 9th - it's a very special Storytime, as we will celebrate the public library's 179th Birthday! Stories, birthday cake and more! Hope to see you here!

xoxo, Miss Katie
