Fridays are a busy day at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library. Everyone stops in to get books and movies for the weekend! Stop by on Friday between 3:00 and 4:30PM to participate in Friday CRAFTernoons. During CRAFTernoon, we will make a unique craft each week. CRAFTernoon is designed for children ages 3 and up. Stop by for some fun!

Stories, crafts, games, and fun preschool lessons are offered during this event by a certified teacher.

You’re invited to Family Place at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library. Family Place Workshops are for parents, caregivers, and children ages birth through three years. Each FAMILY PLACE WORKSHOP includes free play, story time, craft, songs, finger plays, and a guest speaker.

Stop by to meet community resource professionals and learn information appropriate to the care and development of your child.

This event takes place on select Wednesdays at 10AM.

Bring a friend and stop by to show us your skills.

We have plenty of Legos here, so just stop by and have fun.

LEGO Club is open to children of all ages.

We have small LEGOs for the big kids and large blocks for the little kids.

Announcing...Winter Reading Club 2014 @ Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

Did Santa leave a new 2014 Calendar under your tree?

If so, be sure to mark this date: Tuesday, January 21st is the start of Winter Reading Club 2014!

Visit the library on (or after) Tuesday, January 21st

to register for this year's Winter Reading Club

and to receive your Official Reading Log!

This year, we "mustache" you to read!

Here's how it works:

January 21st to February 28th

For children birth to 6th grade.

· Sign up at the circulation desk

· Write your name on a paper mustache and put it on the Winter Reading Club Wall!

· Receive a Reading Log to keep track of the minutes you read, a cool bookmark and sticker!

· For each library visit, put a sticker on your mustache.

· Take home your Reading Chart and try to read every day!

· Write down the number of minutes you read each day. Try to read 15 minutes (or more) a day. If you skip a day, leave that space blank.

· Write your favorite books on the other side!

When the Winter Reading Club ends,

turn in your Reading Chart and you will receive your

Certificate of Completion and other special prizes!

March Raffle @ Nancy Kay Holmes Library

We're gearing up for a party like no other at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

This at the end of this month we will have a party to celebrate both Thomas the Tank Engine and Caroline, An American Girl!

This event will take place on

Tuesday, March 25th at 5:30PM.
