November Library Closings

The Nancy Kay Holmes Library will be closed on the following dates in November:

Election Day – Tuesday, November 5^th

Veteran’s Day – Monday, November 10^th

Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 28^th

 

The Library will close at 5PM on the day before Thanksgiving - Wednesday, November 27^th.

Don’t forget to stop by for our Drop-By Craft on this day. From 2PM – 4PM on November 27^th we will make place cards and napkin rings to use for your Thanksgiving Dinner Table!

Bring your library card to check out books and movies to watch over the holiday!

Tonight: Wimpy Kid Release Party!

Stop by for a very special edition of Tween Team as we celebrate the release of Jeff Kinney’s new book!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck is the 8^th book in the series!

We will meet upstairs in the Young Adult Room for trivia, games, and more.

It’s a Teddy Bear Sleepover at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

Join me for this very special story time at the library!

Bring your teddy bear with you as we read teddy bear stories, sing songs, and make a craft for you AND teddy. Teddy Bears will spend the night at the library and can be picked up the next day!

Has your Teddy Bear ever spent the night at the library before?

You never know what the hidden library cameras will capture!

Upcoming Event: Halloween Celebration at Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

This Wednesday……Get Ready……for a Spooky Halloween Celebration at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

Bring a friend and come to the library on Wednesday night for a fun Halloween Party.

 During the party, we will read The Night Before Halloween, listen to creepy songs and sounds, play games, make a craft, have fun, and enjoy a witch-y snack!

Check out books to receive a spooky treat!

This event will be fun for the whole family.

Upcoming Event: Library Election Celebration

November 5^th may be the official Election Day, but at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library, we are holding our very own Election Day on Wednesday, November 6^th.

 

Our Children’s Room is in need of a president, so stop by to cast your vote!

 

The following characters are running for president: Arthur, Clifford, Dora and Curious George.

 

Voting will take place now through November 6^th.

 

We will count the votes and announce our winner at our election celebration.

LEGO Club @ your Library!

 

Join us for LEGO Club at Nancy Kay Holmes Library! On Wednesday, October 2nd at 5:30PM we will host our first ever LEGO Club!

 

Guess how many LEGOs are in the jar,  pin the head on the minifigure and enjoy a time of free building. We have plenty of Legos here, so just stop by and have fun.
