January Arts & Crafts Club

Hello there!

For January's Arts & Crafts Club, I thought it would be nice to make something that inspires us to feel happy when we look out the window. It's getting close to the mid way point of Winter and let's face it: it's been really cold, gloomy and snowy!

Join me tomorrow at 5:30 pm to make a colorful window mosaic!

Arts & Craft Club is open to anyone in 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th grade! Please call 207-0764 to register. $2 material fee.

Bingo Party Fun!

I had a BLAST at the BINGO party! 17 children came out to play! Lots of cool prizes were won! Fun was had by all!

Valentine Raffle Baskets!

Greetings from the Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

Tea Party Treats

Tuesday's Tea Party sure was fun! We shared tea time stories, sang and danced to "I'm a Little Tea Pot" and ate lots of yummy tea time treats! We even made fancy boas! Check out the fun we had!

Fun at January Storytime!

January Storytime at Nancy Kay Holmes Library is the place to be!

Wednesday, January 5th was National Bird Day so at storytime on the 7th, we read books all about birds! Then we made some bird feeders out of bread and cereal to hang outside! Check out our creations!

January is National Staying Healthy Month! Last Monday, we read books about how to take care of ourselves. We even got some extra practice on sneezing into our sleeves! Ah-ah-choo! For our craft, we made very artistic germs!

Last Friday we celebrated National Soup Month by reading books about soup! The children then made their own Stone Soup by cutting out ingredients from grocery ads! Some very delicious soups were made with all kinds of interesting ingredients! Hot dogs, Oreo cookies, chips, yogurt and coffee were some of my favorite ingredients!

Winter Reading Club starts today!

Hello everyone! It's time for Winter Reading Club!

Winter Reading Club tracks the minutes that you read (or are read to) everyday from January 10th to February 18th!

Stop by the Nancy Kay Holmes Library and pick up your starter kit and reading log! When you register, we'll put your name on a mitten! Every time you visit the library during Winter Reading Club, you'll get a sticker on your mitten!

Join us Thursday, January 13th at 5:30 pm for the Winter Reading Club Bingo Party! Open to all ages! Prizes for every round!
