Pumpkin Pie and Grocery Lists!

We've been getting ready for Thanksgiving this week at Stortime! On Monday, we read stories about pies and then made a pumpkin pie! Mmmmm! We even included the cinnamon and whip cream! Storytime sure is delicious!

Today, we heard stories about trips to the grocery store! Everyone was laughing at these silly tales of 500 oranges tumbling, 100 cartons of ice cream in a cart melting and forgetting the bacon! With our grocery store craft, I thought it would be really helpful to mom's and dad's to create our own Thanksgiving Grocery List! That way, parents will know exactly what to get for Thanksgiving!

Join us Monday at 11:30 for tales of Thanksgiving! We will be making a turkey! Gobble! Gobble!

Movie Night at the Library!

Join us Thursday for Movie Night at the Library!

We will be watching Toy Story 3!

Dump Trucks and Squirrels!

Storytime is so much fun at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library!

We've been making all kinds of neat crafts like these dumptrucks that dump and pinecone squirrels! This Friday we'll be reading about the love of reading and making our very own books!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we'll begin our Thanksgiving storytimes on Monday! We'll be reading books about pie, grocery shopping, Thanksgiving Day and then having a special Black Friday storytime all about shopping! You won't want to miss out on the fun!

Laugh to Live! Laughter Yoga!

Join us tomorrow at 5:30 pm for Laughter Yoga at the Library!

Jeannine M. Luby, owner of Laugh to Live!, and a Certified Laughter Leader by the World Laughter Tour will lead a 20-minute laughter yoga session on November 4 at 5:30 p.m. Ages 5 and up!

Laughter yoga is a series of playful, easy movements that include simulated or "fake" laughter sounds to gain the very real benefits of laughter. This program is designed to be playful, fun, stress-busting and healthy. A craft will be set up in the children’s room for siblings under 5.
