Dr. Seuss Storytime!

The Dr. Seuss Storytime we held last week in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday proved to me how magical his books truly are! The children were mezmorized, all 27 of them! We read I Can Read With My Eyes Shut, Oh the Thinks You Can Think, and my personal favorite, Green Eggs and Ham! Then we played Pin the Star on the Sneetch and a Cat in the Hat Book Balancing Walk! For a craft, we made our very own Cat in the Hat! Check it out!

Kids in the Kitchen this Monday and Pajamas on Tuesday!

Join the Scranton Junior League this Monday at 5:30 pm for Kids in the Kitchen Storytime! There will be a green food tasting! Ages 3 and up!

Tuesday, stop by for Pajama Storytime at 5:30 pm! All ages welcome! Wear your pajamas!

Finally! March is here! Spring will soon return! Only 17 days! Let the countdown begin!


Even with the wild winter weather, February Storytime was full of attentive children listening to stories about penguins, friendship, Valentine's Day, polar bears and pets! Check out our creations!

At storytime on Monday, I talked a little bit about what it means to use your imagination. We read Can I Keep Him? by Steven Kellogg, a story about a boy who fantasizes aboout bringing home differenent pets. I asked the children to repeat the word after me. "Imagination," they said timidly. When it was time for craft, I showed the group a dog I painted in orange, red and purple with white polka dots. A two-year-old came up to me and asked, "Is that an imaginative puppy?" I smiled. "Yes, this is an imaginative puppy."
